We have all, I’m sure, been disappointed that all the shows we intended to support this year have been cancelled.
However there is a little light at the end of a Covid tunnel!
A few years ago the Centre attended the Kames Classic, organised by the East Ayrshire Car Club & based at the Kames sprint track in Muirkirk. This year the event was planned for June but was postponed due to Covid.
However EACC have announced that they intend to hold the event on Sunday August 23 & that they will adhere to whatever social distancing and other regulations that apply at that time.
As a Centre we have decided to take a stand & would like to invite you to enter soon… very soon! Entries will be limited to 25 cars.
There is a £5 entry fee but if you enter through the Caledonian Centre we will cover that cost. Our usual catering facilities are expected to be onsite.
This is a good, interesting & friendly show and if you have not been before then give it a try.
Our website will open for entries at 8pm tomorrow evening (08/06/20). Click Here for Kames Car Show Registration
Obviously if , due to Covid, the event requires to be cancelled we will let you know but for the moment it is a goer!
We have received an email from our friends at the Bo’ness Revival which, as you know, has been cancelled this year. Cliff McKinnon, who has ably organised the Saturday runs & the Sunday Classic Show,is standing down as organiser & there is a need for a replacement. Anyone acting as organiser will require to be a member of the Bo’ness committee. If you might be interested in this let me know & I’ll put you in touch.
And finally if anyone would be interested in a decent 1970 Midget, MOTd and with a Cameron Gilmour engine or a rubber bumper Midget for restoration then get in touch with me. And I’m still looking for a 190 ZTT X Power backbox & an X power Rally seat.
That’s all folks, take care!
