Penny and I were off on another weekend of Culture, Sport and Socialising last weekend. We stayed with friends, Stuart and Sheilagh in Crammond near “Auld Reekie”. They took us to a Gallery of 1950/60 photographs of Edinburgh by Robert Bloomfield, and they were stunning even though they were in black and white. It was back to Crammond for the Rugby, oh boy is that game getting tough, you would have less damage done if you took up Stock Car racing!
The next morning, Sunday, we set off for Airth Castle and we invited our friends to come as our guests, they sadly are not into cars, but enjoyed all the craic and the Lunch, in fact they were very impressed with the food, and we would second that.
We had thirty people attend, a little bit down on last year. Leslie and Liz Duncan decorated the room in a Saint Patrick’s theme, lots of green! Was it done for Penny and I, probably not, but really looked good. At our table we were entertained by Leslie with a few jokes from his Bumper Fun Book and some of his experiences on past EEOTY events.
All in all a great Lunch and thanks to Leslie and Liz for organising it all.
