Hard to believe that the Bo’ness Revival in now 10 years old! The Caledonian Centre has supported the event from it’s inception both on track and in the classic car show. In the first year I think we had only six or so cars and this year managed 35 and with MG being the most popular marque on the track!
Our cars ranged from 1931 to much more modern but the highlights were probably Bill Jardine’s beautiful VA tourer and Royston Goodman’s recently completed TA special. These and another six ‘Square Riggers’ were displayed at the front of our stand and drew much attention with the others lined up behind.
With a new team on the CarBQ the catering was to the usual high standard, Tony and Lorraine sold regalia and we gained several new members, so success all round.
Speaking of success Glenn Neilson finished a credible 3rd in the Carkhana but, Jaguar took the award for the best Car Club stand. To be fair their stand was superb and has raised the bar as far as car club stands in Scotland go. Difficult to match!
If you have never attended put the first weekend in September 2018 in your diary now!
