Report by Barry Crichton –
Another interesting and well organised event run by George and Wendy Rome.
We met at the Radstone Hotel, Larkhall in rural Lanarkshire for the customary coffee and bacon roll. We were a small gathering with only 6 cars, 3 Roadsters and 3 Coupes one being a Twin Cam.
The morning run took us through Law, where once the National Scottish Blood Transfusion Centre was based, having been moved from Glasgow at the beginning of World War ll to be more secure from the German Bombers who pounded Glasgow and the surrounding area.
From there we travelled on through Carluke, Carnwarth and Dunsyre through some very beautiful scenery, stopping at the Mill Inn in Coulter for lunch.
