It’s time to get your pride and joy onto the road for the season and what better way than to have a pleasant run, catch up with friends and check out the winter MG improvements before lunch?
As last year, there will be three starting points for three routes: north, east and west and the runs will be similar to last year (perhaps even prizes for spotting the differences!).
In a supreme effort to get as many cars on the road for this first event of the year the committee has agreed to waive the entry charge, the bargain of the MG year so please sign up!
North meeting point
At the Charlton Farm and Coffee Shop Montrose DD10 9DW from 10.30 (£5 for hot drink and breakfast roll)
The route will head via Dun, Kirkbuddo, Glamis, Woodside, Stanley to Huntingtower Hotel.(+/-66miles)
East meeting point
At the Conifox Garden Centre, Foxhall, Kirkliston EH29 9ER Please arrive at 09:30 for your Bacon or Sausage breakfast roll and coffee or tea in the Stables Bistro for an excellent price of £4.95 pp.
The route takes you over the Queensferry Crossing, heading past Loch Leven and through the Lomond Hills with the prominent peaks West Lomond, East Lomond and Falkland Hill. The route also takes you over the tight and winding bends of the Path of Condie with spectacular views all around and finally ending with lunch at Huntingtower Hotel Perth PH1 3JT. (+/-69miles)
West meeting point
At the Westerwood Hotel, Cumbernauld G69 0EW at 10.00 for traditional bacon roll with tea/coffee at a cost of £4.50 per person.
The route will take the interesting Tak ma’ Doon Road, heading for Kinbuck and Muthill arriving at Huntingtower Hotel. (+/- 60 miles)
Assembly will be in Huntingtower Hotel PH13JT from 1.00pm for lunch from where we will make our individual ways home in the afternoon.
The cost of the soup, sandwich and hot drink lunch is £10 per person and will be collected at registration by Anne/Lorraine/Barclay.
