The 2017 September Three Day Tour will take place on the beautiful Isle of Arran on the Scottish West coast.
The Start Venue will be announced later but will be at a point which will be as convenient as possible for all participants.
We will take the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry from Ardrossan to Brodick on the Island of Arran. The ferry crossing only takes about 55 minutes.
The cost of the Ferry is not included in the Entry Fee. It will be £30.20 return for a car, plus £7.50 return per passenger, subject to any price change.
From the ferry terminal in Brodick, it only takes a few minutes to get to our hotel, the luxurious Auchrannie Spa Resort for the 2 nights.
A three course dinner will be served in the Glencloy Suite on both evenings.
You can study its facilities on the website www.auchrannie.co.uk.
Arran is a very relaxed location, offering stunning sea views and beautiful scenery. It is renowned for being known as ” Scotland in miniature “.
The very laid back atmosphere allows you to take things easy and relax. When on the island, we do not propose to lay down exact routes that must be followed. Naturally, we will give you a map of the island, which has only approximately 60 miles of roads, and will make some suggested ideas for your visit. The main idea is that you relax and enjoy the island without having to think about laid out routes and time schedules.
There are plenty of visitor attractions including Brodick Castle and Country Park, Glenashdale Falls, several golf courses, Arran Brewery and Cladach Visitor Centre and if you are feeling really energetic, you could always climb Goat Fell, Arran’s highest peak.
There are many beautiful small villages including Lamlash, Whiting Bay, Kildonan, Kilmory, Lagg, Sliddery, Blackwaterfoot, Machrie, Pirnmill, Catacol, Lochranza, Sannox, Corrie as well as the main centre, Brodick.
If you have never been to Arran before, and many people haven’t, you do not know what you are missing !
Following our 2 night stay on Arran, we will return to the mainland for a gentle drive ending up at a final lunch stop, which again, will be convenient for your return home.
