Report by Jackie Reid
Our second Open Day was held in Cleghorn near Forth at Kirstie MacGillivray’s home. Kirstie has been a member for a few years but doesn’t get much free time to get along to events, she’s a busy working mum but it was very kind of her to hold the open day there.
After a week of pouring rain with no breaks it was great that it was dry for the whole day and it was lovely and warm with lots of sunny spells. Just a treat to sit out in the garden.
As you will see from the pictures, the gazebo was up and there were lots of lovely food and refreshments inside. The CarBQ was in operation and our guest chefs for the day were Steven and Tommy.
It was good to catch up on what everyone had been doing. Thirlestane, Silverstone, European event in France and then looking forward to events ahead and of course a look at some of the cars that were in the car park.
It was a very social afternoon, good fun. The gazebo was put away dry and the CarBQ had a valet, all set for Glamis.
Many thanks to Kirstie for holding this event at her lovely home and to Janet for all that lovely home baking. Looked far too much, but funnily enough it was all eaten. We do like a cake or three. Thanks to everyone else who brought along salad and pasta dishes and to everyone who made it a most enjoyable day.
